ummm you shouldnt ever stop bathing. Its more sanitary to shower though but a hot bathe would help cramps more that create them if thats what your worried about.

p.s. the girl who said something about 'red chunks' in the water- if u lose red chunks u might want to get checked out

no, that is in no way true. i take daily baths even when i am menstruating. in fact i take two baths a day when i am menstruating so that i feel extra clean. in my opinion you should take baths during this time so that you are definitely clean, the more you wash and bath yourself the better you smell and you will be less likely to get infections (seeing as most infections down there are caused from bacteria and bacteria is caused from dirt/not bathing or cleaning yourself enough.)

Yes my dear it is true. Your cervical lining is removing during that time and it can cause you to become infected if you are submerging your body in water during this time of cleansing. Not to mention, are you really getting the rest of your body clean...yuck. It's also an old wives tale that you age faster by bathing during your cycle so don't rush a good thing, gravity does that all on it's own!

Well me personally prefer showers its much more cleaner anyway I mean think about when you bathe the dirt gets back on you....so you wil be taking a bath in your own blood.

You should be bathing during your period, you must keep up with hygeine. If the flow is heavy, wear a tampon. Contrary to popular belief, the menstrual flow does NOT stop when in the water.

I used to have heavy periods and wore tampons while showering/bathing.

No that is not true. You should wear a tampon if you bathe though, as the flow does NOT stop or slow down in the water.

Showering you can either wear a tampon or nothing, just make sure to pad/tampon up when you get out of the shower!

It is not true. You should bathe everyday. Blood has a peculiar odor that other people can smell if you don' t bathe. And your vaginal area, should be kept clean always.

I have never heard that, I don't think it is true.

A warm bath will help make the cramps go away.
p.s I knew you showered.

oh my gosh, that's ABSOLUTELY the time when you need to concentrate on bathing! our bodies have a natural cleansing process, but when the cycle is on we need to especially be mindful of bathing or showering daily.
