I have been watching football faithfully since 1970. Brett Favre is flat out the best football player I have ever seen. The things he was doing in the mid 90's was absolutely unbelievable! I find myself trying to wrap my mind around throws and plays that he has made.

One of the best in the history of the game, still playing at a higher level than the majority of qbs in the league. This is the twilight of his career so naturally he's starting to slow down some, but that's nothing for him to be ashamed of. He's extremely tough, I think we had a different president in office last time he didn't start a game. Super classy guy, lots of fun to watch him interact with others. He's well respected by 99 percent of the players in the whole league. I'm not a Packers fan, I just really think that he's the kind of person you would certainly not feel uncomfortable with your kids using him as a role model. If his body will allow him to play, I believe his heart is back in it, and they are so close to being among the elite. People want to write him off cuz he's old, but look at Elway in 97 and 98. Give Brett a good running game, and watch out. But I don't see him as a league MVP, if they were to reach the superbowl, he could be the MVP of the game if he were to have a good day.

he is an amazing qb. of course he was a lot better in the 90's, but he's still among the elite right now. most people who deny him being so great are the one's who don't pay attention and live on the year 2005. favre is a winner, plain and simple.
i quote from mike ditka when he coached for the saints who was speaking to a cb after a td, "now that's incredible. how'd he do that? nothin you can do to stop that. that's amazing."
watch some favre films on youtube, and you'd be amazed at how wonderful of a qb, athlete, and a person brett favre is. he truly will be missed when he retires.

I think he is having a great year, but I don't think he will win the MVP.
He should get the Packers into the playoffs.
I think he will retire at the end of the season.

I think he pronounces his name wrong.
I also think he's going to slow down his passing game when the weather gets cold. He also will get banged around a little, further reducing his effectiveness. And, because of the lack of a running game, the Pack will be lucky to make the playoffs.

He's staying in it for the records (though I don't blame him for that). He was also riding an 8 game win streak dating back to last year. He's a great QB, no doubt about it. He'll lead his team to the playoffs this year, but he can't do it all on his own. With a young team, you never know how they will fare.

This should be his last year. We'll see how they do. They are in a deceptively tough division
