Some times the baby is just hard to find. When I went in the first time at 9 weeks they couldn't find it but at my 13 week appointment they could. I had to go into the emergency room at 16 weeks though and they couldn't find it for prolly half an hour. It depends on the baby's position, so don't worry.

My doctor told me my uterus was 'tilted.' He used the term I would be a 'Fertle Myrtle' because of this with a grin and then he winked. I highly doubt your uterus is upside down. But I would ask more questions or do more searching the net if it would make you feel more comfortable. I HIGHLY doubt there is a problem because you heard a very healthy heatbeat. Write down all of your questions you may have and take them with you to your next appointment. : )

I'm guessing he was referring to a tipped uterus? If that's so most women's uterus' will move back to normal during weeks 10-12. A few women still have the tipped uterus though and it can sometimes cause miscarriage but is very rare.

If you want to google more its called a "retroverted uterus" or "tipped uterus". In some women it can effect the ability to get pregnant, but almost all cases as the uterus expands it fills all available space and is the same as any other pregnant uterus.

i thik you should because if you have some problems with those kinds of stuff...then it means there's something wrong and abnormal...i suggest you should just go to a dotor once in a while to have you checked for your baby's safety...it might be not that serious, but when you ignore these kinds of problem/s, it might affect your baby..,and i'm pretty sure you don't want anything bad to happen to your future baby!!

Irrelevant reply is this but I hope your pregnancy goes well. I have six children and each of them presented the specialists with a problem yet they were all born normally.

Don't have a uterus, never did, I guess it would be strange if a male did.
Sorry, can't help.
Good luck with the baby. Pray for a boy, they are so much easier and less costly to raise.

I agree you could have endometriosis, which is common. its not a real big deal but it also depends on how bad you have it. my sis has it and they said she wouldn't have kids now she has 3 wonderful children so docs can be wrong.
