Let's face it, humans have screwed up the planet good and proper. Surely it's time to call it a day. Should people just stop reproducing, and let the species die out? Leave it to the animals to sort out.

In all likelihood, all is indeed lost for the human race. It wasn't war or disease that done us in, it was our greed (business), our religion, and our traditions, and our need to control everything and everyone that did it. Is it too late to correct the situation? Yes, because humanity can't let go of their self-destructive behavior and old corrupt traditions. If we could, what do we need to do to fix things in the world? We need to ban all forms of organized religion right off the top; we need to bring an out of control business world (and the military/industrial complex) into proper alignment; we need to demand absolute honesty from business and government; we need to place strict regulations on who can get married and produce a family; we need to stop allowing just anyone to create a family situation until they have proven themselves able to maintain a long term relationship and career; we need to ban all forms of organized religion totally from society; we need to demand that all members of society pursue education on a life long bases; all levels of education should be free to every person; no one should be permitted to make a profit off of any part of that required to sustain human life. There is much more but these are the basic unit for repairing the damage done by thoughtless humanity. Of course, humanity will never make the necessary changes. As such, we are all doomed ultimately to extinction, in my opinion.

I know how you feel shawty I used to feel kinda similar.. Not to the point where I said I hate the Human race but I can relate though.. But I just think everybody judges. Like say it's NIGHT TIME ok It's dark. It's late. And you're walking home.. Then in the distance you see a HUGE 7 foot man, wearing all black HUGE ok.. Walking your way.. Now you might not be TERRIFIED but my guess is it would open your eyes more than say a 5 foot man lol.. So ya that's a whole different situation than what you said but we all judge to some degree Some people are more close minded then others.. But there's plenty of good loving people you just gotta know where to LOOK.. And ya I think you mentioned people making fun of you or judging you negatively and you might be right.. But I read somewhere that people are just afraid.. There afraid of the unknown.. They don't know you shawty so they label you in there mind how THEY see you.. And ANYONE who puts you down isn't happy with themselves and that's real talk cause a confident happy person builds people UP.. not tear them down.. So we're getting near the end shawty but before i go I'm gonna tell you something nice lol.. Find good people. Find loving people. There's a lot of them out there. APPROACH PEOPLE That's when I realized how warm hearted people were SMILE AT PEOPLE I almost always get a smile back BUT IF I DON'T not my problem Take it easy shawty I'm sure you'll get some value from all this

We have campaigns against non-native plants and animals in ecosystems: gypsy moth, zebra mussel, purple loosestrife, garlic mustard, and so on. Why? Non-native species (also called alien or exotic species):
1. Take over niches of native species by outcompeting the natives.
2. Don't make the same contributions to the ecosystem as the species they have displaced.
3. Spread fairly quickly.
4. Don't have natural enemies to hold populations in check.

Look at just that short list and see if it applies to humans.
1. We take over areas and crowd out the natives.
2. We don't contribute the same food, shelter, and resources to the ecosystem as the species we displace.
3. Human populations spread quickly.
4. We have a few natural enemies like parasites and disease organisms, but we aren't preyed upon or collected.

If we can see the problem with non-native species moving into an ecosystem, why are we so blind to humans as the ultimate non-native species?

I do not recommend that we kill off a bunch of people or stop reproducing, but the environment's limiting factors will soon take care of our exponential growth - with or without our cooperation.

No, don't throw in the towel. That would only make things worse.

Our only hope is to turn back to God, to listen to what he's been saying to us all these centuries. We've got to stop living selfish lives and start respecting and loving each other and the world we live in.

It doesn't need a big overthrow of governments or religions. Every individual has personal choices to make in how we choose to live our lives. Governments and religions can in fact be part of the solution because they are also made up of individual people. Live a good life yourself, be an example to others and encourage others to live good lives. Before you know it you'll have made a massive difference.

I think we need a chance to make up for what we've done - and to live with it too. After all, I feel a little responsible for the planet, seeing as we're the ones who seem inclined to try to do something about it now. It's just evolution - discovery has lead to a need for a solution. Or many solutions.

Humans have already messed up the human race by eliminating natural selection with the use of medicine. Can you imagine how small the population would be if we weren't curing all of these diseases and giving medication for viruses and flus that used to kill people off. Now, the weak are surviving. But who in their right mind would say, "no, I don't want treatment because I don't want to weaken the human race".... that will never happen. We're killing ourselves off....it's only a matter of time, whether it be by illness or nukes.

Definate defeatist attitude you got going there mate, are you on medication, or are you just going to go on whimpering. It is big of you to accept on behalf of all the children yet to be born, and those just starting out, that you have decreed that we have screwed up the planet and children!, none of you have, or will ever have, the intelligence to fix it, so just lay down and die! Why? Because Whiny McWhiny says so!

What a great question!!! I think down deep you know that our work in that regard (having used up this planet) is done. As when the asteroid struck, we've left a mess--mostly our atmosphere, (just took a hundred years worth of industrial revolution -- revulsion -- to do it.) Yep, old pard, we'll not be serious about turning things around either.. what's done is done ... us in. We done done us in. Sob!

Mmm... delicious Christmas cookies....

Oh, feel free to not reproduce if you are so inclined. I daresay the world would be better off if you weren't to procreate.
