I know I was fired so the office manager & her assistant could hire a friend. It wasn't because of money. Also, the office manager and I were friends(we had been long before she became the office manager) and I considered her my friend until the end. (Hurt? YES!) Business is business but this was obviously not. What I need help with is this what can I say to her when I talk to her again? Oh, and I will because she won't want me to think it was "personal". What can I say??

Talk about anything but work. It's over, let it go.
You can act with class or act like an a##,
Please, act with class.

Laid off is when the position is eliminated... you were fired. Whats more is you are a friend being replaced by another friend. If you weren't doing anything wrong then that's not right. It IS personal. Do you want your job? Do you need money? I would be talking to her superior not her.

If it bothers you that much say something, but leave it at that. Don't dwell on it or it can ruin any friendship that could take place in the future!!!
