I have heard other people say this and I find that it is true for myself as well. I think it has something to do with the bleaching of the cotton and the fibers of it.. or something. I only use a tampon now if I'm going to be out somewhere where i know I won't be near a bathroom for a while.

i have the same problem. i am on my middle school soccer and softball team and i have to use tampons just so that i canrun and when i take them out i bleed really really bad but then when i use pads i just bleed normally. don't worry, it's normal.

Pads: Outside your body and outside of vagina. Not close to uterus.

Tampons: Inside your body and in your vagina. Closer to uterus and therefore closer to the blood.

THAT is why it SEEMS that way.

it might depend on how long u keep the tampon in. if its longer, it will gather more blood...as to using pads, you'll see less blood when you go to the bathroom
