I have been to Mt Rushmore twice and would definitely go again if Ronald Reagan were up there!
In fact, if I lived in your country, I would live in South Dakota.
The costs for the monuments were not from taxes, they were privately funded, the National Park around the monument is what taxes go to, just like any other park.

We can barely maintain the national monuments as they stand now.
I say leave Mt. Rushmore alone, and let it stand as an achievement to its time.

i like Reagan allot
but it was meant as a tribute to those 4 lets leave it alone we have enough people in this country trying to rewrite and redo to many things already

I would be a lot happier seeing my tax dollars going towards adding Reagan to Mt. Rushmore than seeing them wasted on Nancy Pelosi's foreign trips to Syria.
