Burning; I didn't experience. Stabbing/sharp pain I did. My doctor told me that it was from the baby sitting so low on my pelvic floor, and when she would move it would send a sharp shooting pain down there.
p.s.- it's always better to be safe than sorry! You may want to give your doctor a call! =D

Hi, I'm 37 weeks pregnant wiTh my 4th child....and i was experiencing the same thing 2 -3 weeks ago. With my 3 girls i never had this but with this one ( a Boy) i was having this burning sensation....was weird!! Does not last long and then it stops... I asked my Dr and he said it's because baby has gotten lower ( he his very low) and that i started to dilate and when he stretches in my stomach he pushes down and that's why i feel the burning....It's not dangerous at all...

Go doctors, sounds like a urinary tract infection. They will test your water and tell you straight away. They will usually give you antibiotics if it is even in pregnancy. I suffered from these alot in my first pregnancy towards the end, and the pain was just as you describe. Baby squashes everything up down there and you are more likely to get them in pregnancy. Drink plenty of water and cranberry juice in the mean time as this will help if it is (and won't do any harm at all if it is not). Does sound like classic water infection to me. Hope all is well and you feel better soon =)

burning could be due to skin stretching ... 35 weeks is a big baby and hence the skin will pull .... DO NOT scratch it ... you only hurt yourself and might increase stretch marks.
The stabbing pain because your uterus could be practising (contracy and expand) ... kinda like braxton hicks

It's probably your pelvis opening as baby is moving down. I would definately bring it up at your next Dr's appt, which I'm assuming is within a week.
