September 11, 2001. We closed on our house the day before and we didn't have cable yet; I was listening to the funny morning show on the radio while I was unpacking and I thought it was a sick joke. I kept thinking that this isn't something to joke about. It wasn't until the news guy came on the radio that I realized that they weren't joking and it actually happened.
