Think about it VR has been about for years yet nobody has even attempted to make a vitrtual reality games machine. Yeah alright there could be problems with folk barfing at big events but doesn't that just make gaming more of a mans sport. Can you take the 15 minute VR callenge without puking your guts all over the floor. I mean you cant get more first person than VR and with the WII controller allowing you to do anything from swing a sword to pick your nose the future is definitely virtual.

How do you even know that Sony is afraid of a making a VR system? There are people complaining about how much the PS3 costs right now ( I don't think it's expensive because I have a PS3), just think of how much a V.R. system would cost. It would probably cost over $1000 dollars easily. And just imagine how much the games would cost.

I believe that V.R. gaming is the future of gaming, but it's probably 15 years away or even more. To be honest, I think that the Playstation 4 should be a V.R. system, or a system that uses some form of V.R. technology.

1) Production cost. By using the display system people already have in their house, they cut a few hundred dollars off the cost of including a projector or herad-mounted display with the system.

2) VR headsets kill word-of-mouth potential. You have to have a headset for each person playing, so if a friend comes over, you need a second headset to play together. I know a lot of people who won't even by a spare controller for this situation, let alone a headset that would cost at least 4 times as much. Plus, it would be harder to coax someone to play if they couldn't watch you play a bit first and decide that it looks cool.
