Just have a big water bowl in the viv so it can climb in it then u won’t have to give it a bath.... it will climb in and bathe if it wants to...
If that’s a bit of old skin on its head then u can try putting the snake in as damp sack for a hour or so.. What you should do is check the old sheds of skins to see if they are full sheds...

Bathing Corn Snakes

Snakes usually don't need baths and putting them in water can stress them out if you're not careful. I'm not sure what kind of bedding you're using that's getting him so dirty. Perhaps Bed-a-beast? Coconut husk. Maybe changing him over to shredded aspen would help with the dirt issue. NEVER use heat rocks in a snake cage. Snakes have a poor ability to sense hot objects and can easily be burned on a heat rock. Heat from an under tank heater or a heat lamp...either regulated by a thermostat will do fine. As long as your bedding isn't too dusty, a little dirt won't hurt him.

Personally i wouldn't try anything more than the wet rag idea that you've already tried.
Snakes, like most living creatures need to have access to fresh water. Snakes will get into their water dishes and soak, if the bowl is large enough and the cage is warm. This soaking should help to get and keep it clean.
They should have a "heat rock" or something in the cage as well to keep themselves warm. In nature they lay out in the sun. They need heat in order to digest their food.
If every thing is balanced that snake will shed its skin several times a year and that 'dirty area' will shed with it.
Keep its cage clean. No old 'poopies' or spilled water... No partially eaten snacks ;-)
You don't say what sort of bedding you are using. The people at the pet store may have recommended wood shavings or something along these lines. That stuff captures dirt and stuff and that may be what is on that corn snakes skin. Personally i prefer newspaper or cardboard, cut to fit the bottom of the cage. Preferably without coloured inks or dies.

It could be old shed left on his face. Just make sure your temps are correct, and that he has a large enough bowl to soak in. You can put him in a rubbermaid container with very shallow warm water and a towel on the bottom for about 15 minutes. Watch him closely. This can help hydrate and loosen up old shed skin. Don't try to rub stuck on skin off--you can damage the scales underneath.

i agree try with a cloth several times a day carefully and if not in a bowl with enough water to get soaked but now deep enough to drown in ....best of luck!
