I have an Acer laptop and it's really cheap, only $490.
The battery power is at 100% yet the maximum number of minutes you could go on is 12-15 min. Why is that?
NOW the laptop's battery goes dead whenever you turn it on with out the recharger. You can't even turn it on with out the laptop's battery going out.

Two answers....bad battery or cheap, low-quality battery. Call Acer (or go to their website) for advice. You can either replace the bad battery or replace the good (but cheap) battery with a better one.

That's because the system uses more power than your battery can supply. Old batteries (ones that are 2-3 years old) typically don't hold their charge very long. It's time to replace it. If it's new, go back to the store and demand a new battery--unless of course it says in the spec that the system only runs for 12-15 minutes on the battery. Ah, that's not long as far as laptop batteries go, but with a very powerful system it might be the case. I have 3 laptops and have had a dozen or so over the years. They were left on the chargers 100% of the time when not on the road. The charging circuits know how to manage the batteries.

You probably need a new battery! Your Battery is probably to weak! I am pretty sure if you get a new battery everything will work out well! They say that you should change the battery Like once every year or two anyway! - Good Luck!

OHHH, buy a new battery.

OK, if the computer is fully charged, do not charge it while your using it...only charge it when the battery power is at like 10%

Same thing happened to me

go to wherever you bought it, and ask for battery choices...
its most likely due to cheap battery, or maybe just a defect in the battery itself.
