haha, that would be pretty ironic =) Anyway, no I don't think peace is overrated at all! I think it's underrated because so many people obviously don't even bother with it! I mean, countries are seen as weak that try to negotiate instead of jumping into a war, people are seen as 'wimps' if they walk away from a fight, etc. Violence is glorified whereas trying to remain peaceful is mocked. Yes, the peace sign and calling yourself a hippie has become a trend but actually following through with acts of peace is far from being the 'cool' thing to do. Ti's ridiculous.

Is peace over rated? Perhaps. If the human race had always been "at peace," we likely would still be living in caves without a real human language or educated thought. War may, I am sorry to say, just be a way to improve the "race." The strong survive and the weak are killed off.
Just a thought.

to the average bleeding hearted liberal, peace means that the militaries of the world aren't shooting at each other. Real peace is much bigger than that, but since most liberals can't see beyond the left wing bias of the newscasts these days they have decided to focus on guns and bombs.

Not the Islamic wild eyed psychopath's, but ours.

Damn straight. Why should I put effort into getting people to not fight? I mean if they don't fight they don't have to do anything. If they fight, they can buy my missles. I make a top notch missle and I would feel my life's work was wasted if they didn't kill at least a couple people.

First of all, what? Second of all, peace is not overrated, it's just a lot harder than it looks with people who make inflammatory statements and such.

It is overrated. If a hypocrite like Gore can win the Nobel Peace Prize then it is overrated.
