I have a Nicholas.
We called him Nicky until, at age 5, he decided he wanted to be called Nick.
But it is a fairly common name, so be prepared for one or two other Nicholas' in school: Nicholas P./ Nicholas B./ and Nicholas T. in my son's preschool class!

I think it's adorable. I don't think it's too popular these days either. Most people are naming their boys Aidan, Riley, and Jacob. Nicholas would be a nice change.

I adore Nicholas! It used to be very popular but has faded somewhat over the years. It would be nice to see it revived again.

Yes its a good name ... some people will have different opinions... say that name yourself 10 times in a row ... and if you still like it ... then u will love the name ... if u think its getting repetitive then probably you need an alternative name that you wont get bugged with 10 times atleast.

I like the name Nicholas. I think it's a strong name and it has a good nickname (Nick) and when he is a baby you can call him Nicky.

way too common. and get ready for him to be called nicholas A B or C depending on his last name and if there are other nicholas's in his class!
I'd choose something less common!
