Ever read this story by Stephen King where a guy is trapped on an atoll -- get's so desperate that he starts amputating parts of himself to eat and keep himself alive??

TRUE... My friends my age look as if they are my parents... AND... They are beginning to develop a host of health problems... I am a vegetarian and health nut...I see the results... I saw them with my father as well... He was in better health at 80 yrs old (after becoming a health nut, too) than he was at 65 yrs old...He got rid of cancer , hypertension, gout, etc... from dietary changes...
