I am already a registered republican so this does not worry me, but there are many Democrats that are finding presidential candidate Ron Paul's message so powerful that they want to vote for him. He may get enough people that would WANT to vote for him, but if they don't change their party affiliation before the deadline, which is being kept more secret than public, then they won't be able to switch and vote for him. This would definitely affect the turnout for Ron Paul. I just found out about the New Hampshire deadline today, and the deadline is today. It doesn't affect me, because I don't live in New Hampshire and I am already registered republican, but what about people that are democrat and want to switch, but can't because they did not hear of the deadline in time. I read that the deadlines were put into place a week before the deadlines even happen. Also, the deadlines are not being publicized to much. Looks like the neocons might win this one.

Yes, closing the primaries will have a huge detrimental effect on the Ron Paul vote in states like New Hampshire. This is
a desperation move by neocons to stop his steadily growing
campaign.

The closed primary is what ultimately kills insurgent candidates for President. The reality is that, even among those most likely to vote in a primary, most voters will not seriously start looking at presidential candidates until January (which is why there is substantial movement in polls in December and January for the primaries). By that time, the deadline for changing registration in state's with closed primaries has passed. As a result, in closed primary state's the insurgent is forced to try to convince those who have traditionally supported party establishment that a revolution is necessary. Needless to say that is a difficult task.

In the 40 years of the current nomination system, at most, two insurgents (George McGovern and Jimmy Carter) have managed to win the nomination of one of the two major political parties (and it is debatable whether either of those truly qualified as an insurgent).

The closed primaries are designed to screw the Population out of a TRUE American president. The CFR and Fed Res wants a puppet and so they had all their puppets change the rules at the last minute. I hope some nut takes a machine gun and mows those traitors down like the scumbag filth they are. I'd love to see an automatic Uzi MF'n bloodbath of politicians who were responsible for screwing the people as they are doing. I'd love to see their blood fill the gutters.

It might.. I already had to change my party affiliation.. so I would still be able to vote for him.. the deadline for both NY and NH is today.

*But a question though, if you haven't registered to vote at all yet... for the primaries.. then can you vote for him, when you register, if you do so as a republican?

Probably. The system is pretty closed to an outsider. (Imagine if he were running as a Libertarian.) Don't care, though, 'cause I'm voting for him in the primary and election regardless of whether he grabs the nomination.

(i'm a Gravel - Libertarian supporter) yet I easily ought to provide an excellent style of effectual help for Ron Paul. both Ron and Mike have reported contained in the debates, they could end the IRS tax gadget as they have uncovered it for being Un Constitutional. the reason we are no longer listening to about both of them contained in the media is the very undeniable truth that Ron and Mike are truthful adult adult males - they don't need to be individuals or assocated with the CFR - company united states. each and every of the mainstream media agencies are individuals of the corrupt CFR so that they don't need to air info on those applicants. McCain - Hillary and Obama are linked with the CFR and recieve marketing campaign money from CFR member agencies - Hillary and McCain obviously have a vote casting record of vote casting for warfare. So the CRF targets are safer with them - Ron and Mike both are adversarial to warfare contained in the mid east so as it really is counter effective to the targets and by no skill worth for the corrupt media to air. i won't be able to extremely say what i will do at the same time as vote casting day arrives with the aid of severity of the condition of this usa yet i can say regardless of the very undeniable truth that Mike Gravel might want to be my best dream as an American President. I also imagine that having Ron contained in the Oval place of work can make existence extemely more suitable ideal for most in this usa and also for our overseas kin. Ron's provide to the US even turns into sweeter because I easily have those days considered video of Dennis Kucinich speaking of Ron as his operating mate and Ron also has a video the position he mentions the potential for choosing Dennis as his operating mate. If something like that were to happen we would have the finished opposite of what we've. (going from evil to saintly) so as which will be drastic replace for all and multiple. Sounds thanks to strong to be actual yet i can say regardless of Ron rejecting the CFR corruption which motives him no mainstream media coverage - he does have a large quantity of help. i imagine up till those days he had the optimal in internet rankings. i do not communicate about electability depending on the corrupt media's coverage. This usa needs to out strengthen that - smart up or they are going to be scammed by technique of media top out of existance.
