In what ways does having one superpower, (USA) effect international relations today?

I single superpower can do whatever it want to do. No one can stop it, or even slow it down a little. Even several countries together could do nothing. If a single superpower did something others did not like, all they could do was talk about it.
So this leaves the rest of the world doing what the US wants, both good and bad.
The US has more firepower in a carrer battle group then most of the worlds countries.(only a couple of other countries even have aircraft carrers).
In a more equal world, everyone would have to talk and work things out. Military power(force) is the only true power in the world. You can't have anything unless you can protect it. You will notice that not a single country has no military/police/ect.
