If your job does fire you (which they are stupid if they do, it's very unlikely), then take them to court. You shouldn't have anything t worry about though.

I hope you get better soon!

You're job is NOT going to fire you ..> It is against the law. In a little bit (probably after the intial 2 mths) the Dr. will give you a release to return to work under restrictions. Your employer will come up with a job (modified duty) that you can do which meets your restrictions.

It will be a boring job and you probably wont like it, but it gets you back to work and on your route to recovery. They can have you do anything from count each box of paper clips to verify there are 100 paper clips in each box, to doing office work, copying, filing, etc. They will find a job for you under modified duty .. but trust me ... they WONT fire you .. it is against the law and they know that.

Whoou, good thing it was at work. They have to pay now. Everything, including your milage to Dr. offices & any theorpy you have to go thru. Plus a state worker will be in contact with you to perform checks and follow ups until your released from the doc. Hope you HR department filled out all you paperwork correctly,or delays in those almighty checks from the state to keep you going.

Hope you get better soon.

P.S. Stay off your feet for awhile & enjoy those disability checks.

Don't worry about it. You can't legally discriminate against someone because of a health condition. Probably the boss has relatives with diabetic conditions. Take care of yourself and get well.
