your mind? Is it the America of high ideals, fairness, equality? Or is greed taking over America? How many items from China do we import? Malaysia, Indonesia, Taiwan, Mexico, Honduras? Japan and Korea, soon to be joined by China, all but kicking the crap out of Detroit and the auto industry. Jobs going overseas for more profit, imports and illegals flooding the country driving wages down and the cost to our social system up. At least half of the ingredients used to make our medicine is imported from China, with absolutely no quality control, yet investors love the profit. Our meat? Who knows, less then one percent inspected. IRS reports middle income folks, income down two percent over the last two years. The top one percent made twenty one percent of the money in this country. I wonder what the top ten percent totals? In all its greatness, are you satisfied or dissappointed with today's America?

Everything you said is so true. Sadly, this is not the America my parents and grandparents wanted for their children. My 87 year old father is still hear to tell me stories of what the United States truly once was.

It really depresses me to see how far we, the United States of America, have fallen. Gone are the days of Ozzie and Harriet, good neighbors helping neighbors, mom and pop stores, where everyone knows everyone else by name. We live in a selfish, money driven society, where the good ole dollar, has replaced GOD. We mock our Creator, even though He has blessed us beyond messure. We ignore the fact that our very own Declaration of Indepedence was based on the Ten Commandments, our Bill of Rights are now used against us. We are loosing RIGHTS at an alarming rate...not only Reps, but Dems as well. If certain people get elected into office, we will be like a cold-war Socialist country...the Government CANNOT run everything. But there is still hope, we may have fallen but we can still get back up. The American Dream is dying, but not dead...we need some sincere American Patriots who vote, and get involved in their government to make things right. It starts in the home, the Church, and the school. If we all work together, NOW, our kids will have a better future for tomorrow: more jobs, less imports; more jobs will also equal less public assistance and abuse of that assistance...more jobs mean more people paying taxes so we won't NEED another tax hike! And we need to turn back to God, and repent of our greedy and sinful ways...and seek Him in faith. Then He will heal our hearts and our lands and all will be well again. Thanks for the question!

There are many who feel that one of the goals of the Bush administration, and many other Republicans, is the dismantling of American public safeguards that were put in place many years ago.
EPA, FDA, USDA, FEMA, Social Security if they could...
all suffered staffing cuts by attrition that caused the remaining staffers to be unable to fulfill the role of their agency.
The only thing we lack to bring the standards back is to replace the ve-toad that sits in the White House with a real president that cares about Americans..

As much as I hate to admit it… I’m disappointed. It seems “it” is just a game anymore… nobody seems to care that people in our own country are flying flags prouder than my own

It seems because I am proud of my country, proud of the great accomplishments my countrymen have brought to the forefront of civilization, I still feel the need to apologize - to someone…

Apparently, nice guys do finish last.

My feelings?

Freedom of Speech? What's up with the "zones" that our glorious Dubya has created, in order to hide protesters from view at political events?

About 44 million people in this country have no health insurance, and another 38 million have inadequate health insurance. Because of that, many of these people will postpone necessary care and forego preventive care which leads to ultimately higher health care costs for all of us.

If Hillary gets elected, we will look a lot like the former USSR, not the America we know now.

We are way too liberal right now and are going the wrong way by trying to take God out of everything.
