One of the most overlooked of the ealry big names in punk. They put out more material than almost any other '77 punk band and yet still manage to be overlooked by so many when they put out material on par with the best of the rest. Who else thoroughly enjoys this wonderful original punk rock band and believes they deserve more credit than they get?
Other things they deserve credit for:
-First UK punk single
-First UK punk album
-First UK punk band to tour America
-First UK punk band to break up
-First UK punk band to reform

Well it looks like I was right, not many people did/do pay attention to them. I'm not sure if the first (only right now) answer is sarcastic or not, if so I like it, if not there's much better reasons for liking them lol.

Oh good, I was afraid I might not get reponses. I'm happy to see so many fans. "New Rose" is/was every bit as good as the more famous "Anarchy In The U.K." "White Riot" and "Blitzkrieg Bop".
And I love all the lists of songs too, "Disco Man" is definitely a top grade song, but I'm surprised not to see one of my favorites, "I Think I'm Wonderful", an absolute classic. My favorites lately have been "Anti-Pope" "Machine Gun Etiquette" "Suicide" "Creep (You Can't Fool Me)" and almost any song off of the debut, namely "Born To Kill".
Can anyone else figure out why there's so much negativity towards Music For Pleasure? Because I think it's a great album, maybe over shadowed by the albums directly preceding and following it, but so many people try to make it sound like it's a second rate album. I don't understand it.
And I did notice the name Damned Fan, it was part of the inspiration for the question!
