You are right. It is hard to find good books these days. But I just happen to know one book that is just for girls between the ages of 12 and above. It is called Twilight by Stephenie Meyer. It is my favorite book ever! Maybe you're heard of it because it is very big right now. It is about this girl named Bella Swan and she falls in love with a vampire named Edward Cullen. Edward is the most perfect guy on earth! Well of course you know that a human and a vampire can't live happily ever after withotu any troubles...
Definitely a book that all girls must read! it is awesome!
Hope this helped and hope you enjoy Twilight as much as I did! :]
*Also there are sequels: New Moon and Eclipse. Also good :] Read in order though!*

Try looking for books by Sarah Dessen. Some books she has written are The Truth About Forever, Dreamland, This Lullaby, and That Summer. Also, the Alice McKinley books by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor are a good read. Try the Anastasia Krupnik series by Lois Lowry; Lois Lowry has written other books, too, like The Giver and Forever Blue. The Tail of Emily Windsnap by Liz Kessler is also great. Also A Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket, and if you like that, try The Spiderwick Chronicles. Try the Sisterhood of the Traveling pants by Ann Brashners; that's the book I'm reading now. Try Flipped by Wendelin Van Draanen or Chicks With Sticks by Elizabeth Lenhard. I hope I helped!

meg Cabot, Jane Austen, Eoin Colfer. Ella Enchanted and Fruits Basket, too. These tree authors rock. All American Girl is good, but the sequel sux. Pride and Prejudice is good. A little dense, but I liked it. The Warriors series is good too. Its about a bunch of cats. Also, Twilight, New Moon, and the recently released Eclipse. They're about this girl called Bella who falls in love with a vampire, then with her werewolf best friend. Harry Potter is a must, if you haven't read it, you obviously live under a rock. Boyproof is a very good book.
The Boy Book is very good, but The Boyfriend List, which comes before it, is both totally unnecessary and very bad. I'll try to think of more. As a 12 year old with the reading level of a highschool senoir, I have strange taste. Sorry!

Go to Amazon.com and search
"Lost from Atlantis Book 1" - Book 2 should be out soon and Book 3 is written and in editing - it'll follow shortly.
"Death by Murder David Lindsay" - you have to search that way or it won't come up. It's got lots of sex in it but this question was posted 9 years ago so it should be okay now.
and "Super Spaghetti."
They're all Free for now on Kindle Unlimited - and you can Google how to get a free trial of it. Then you can read it online, with a free phone app, or on Kindle.

Find out what happens! The 4rth book Extras just came out and I already finished it.. It was amazing. THIS BOOK YOU ABSOLOUTELY CAN'T PUT DOWN1
The Twilight Series --> Stephanie Meyer WOW! You have to read these! They are amazing. They are about a girl who falls in love with an amazing vampire named Edward and what happens. It is a book you can't put down! IT ROCKS!!
A Great and Terrible Beauty-->Libba Bray This book is about a girl named Gemma who goes to a boarding school after her mother gets murdered and she finds out all these different secrets.. Sorry I am kind of spacing about all of what it's about but it is really good.. It is totally elegant. I loved it.
Inkheart/ Inkspell--Funke A Girl's dad can read out characters in books. This book is very good but the 2nd book is wayy better in my opinion.
The Bartimeous Trilogy--> This boy is only 11 but he goes past his yearsand summons a demon that he most likely can't control. This book is very good!!!
Eragon/ Eldest--> Christopher Paolini THIS BOOK IS AMAZING!! It sounds kinda cheesy but it is awesome. It is about a guy who finds a dragon and what happens. I think the 2nd is better than the first but I totally couldn't decide.. lol!!
Pride and Prejudice-->Jane Austin I haven't read this yet but it is supposed to be amazing!!
Redwall-->Brian Jacques This book is awesome it is about a mouse and how an evil rat comes and he has to be a hero.. There are a lot of books in the series.
The River Between Us--> I read this book a long time ago but it was very good. It takes place during the Civil War and is about a girl.. It is very interesting.
The Book Thief--> This book is supposed to be awesome.. I own it but I haven't read it yet.
Vampire Academy-->Richelle Mead I just bought this book it looks really good.

BABYSITTERS' CLUB series would be excellent for you. There are many other good ones in the same section..
Try (in paperback) Happily Ever After & The Face on the Milk Carton.
Pretty soon, you won't need any guidance!

well, if u hav read twilight, read its sequels, or books by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes (also vampire-related), or Vampire Kisses and its sequels by Ellen Schreiber. So Yesterday by Scott Westerfeld is great, along with his Midnighters trilogy.. hope this helped!
=)
