It seems like "adults" these days have low expectations for teens lately.
Some think we're good for nothing, high hormone ridden, backtalkers.
And yes I quote adult because by whining and complaining about what SOME teens are doing and not all, you sound very childish.

I'm not talking about my parents.
I'm talking about the people on here actually.

Ok, well I was gonna put an example of someone's answer singling out all teens but it seems that they have erased it or edited it.
So nevermind.

ok found it:

"because you bratty kids will do as your parents say until you move the hell out and become responsible."

is that not singling people out? not all teens are like that.

Though not a teen myself (I just hit the big three-oh) - the best way is to LEAD BY EXAMPLE.

The reason you tend to see these "canned" responses from adults is that the SAME questions are being asked over and over again...

"How do I get out of..."
"Why are they being so unfair?"
"Was I wrong in..."

EVERY one of these questions (and countless others I can't recall at this time) is posed by a teen who feels/knows that they have done something wrong/illegal - and rather than dealing with it, they whine and complain...

It is VERY rare to see a question being asked (by a teen) WITHOUT a selfish motive behind it - I think I've only seen ONE question on here about how to better themselves since I joined back in MAY!

Good luck in your search for "proof" - here's a star ;););)

Honey it sounds like your complaining yourself and instead of whining why don't you get out there and prove the adults wrong by being the total opposite of what they expect.
Alot of adults feel this way because most teens are hormone ridden brats and for your information, not all adults feel this way just like not all kids are "hormone ridden, back talkers"
If you know your not the way most adults feel teens are these days then why are you worried about it?Why do you even care what other adults think?

What is this question even about? you sound like your whinning a bit yourself. I am 26...and dont consider myself an "adult" yet, even though i am married and have 2 kids. If you are a good kid then why are you even concerned what other adults think about other kids?? Adults complaine about teens because most of them are high hormone ridden brats. Sorry but in every aspect of your wonderful life you will be placed in catagories. Its something you'll have to deal with. To change adults minds every teenager would have to become an upstanding non-parting person. And we all know that isnt going to happen. You would have to rid all the teen pregnancys, drop outs, drug attics drunk driving kids in the world. And while they are placing you into a catagory you can place adults into a catagory. It kinda doesnt even matter, there will always be something to whine about, weather your an adult or teenager.

Sounds like you are whining and complaining about adults, the other way around. Why don't you prove those adults wrong who feel that way about you. I'm 23. I'm not that far from being a teen myself but i know from experience that if you don't want to be treated like a child then don't act like one. And if you are acting mature then those comments shouldn't bother you because you should be secure enough to handle those thoughts.

Sounds like you are trying to make yourself feel better by telling everyone else what they're doing wrong. You really need to humble yourself and grow up. You see most adults have been through experience and of course have been a teen also, SO they know how teens act. And you seem to be a shining example of that.

Some adults seem to get angry just because we ask a question. I think if it's a question they don't like because they know really that they could be wrong.

And they are sometimes, although we should try and listen because they've lived longer and know more. But it would be nice if they could be polite. We learn from example and if we follow some of theres we'd be very rude. I think the best way is to just be as good as we can be and ignore them when they are rude and let them learn something from us. ;)

ignore all of those others adult like comments they just want to say that you are complaining to make themselves sound more mature but they probably have alot of stupid unintelligent questions on here. i think that just because we are teens SOME older people want to nit pick with use one last time before we become grown. cuz when we were little kids which we aren't now they could nit pick us all they wanted too and we couldn't do anything because we where just little and in our own imaginary world but now when we have our own opinons and want to voice them they nit pick. it will all be over soon ( that is until we turn 18) and that's an adult by law but they still nit pick.

Are you talking about your parents? I am not whining about you at all cause i do not have to live your life.

The best way to prove to your parents that you are whatever your wanting them to see is to not back talk, don't have sex and get pregnant and don't do people wrong.
If you would put more effort into into it instead of whining you might just get somewhere's.

They thought that about teens when I was a teen too. Some things never change.
