A Mentor really does not teach you, although we tend to use that word & talk about these relationships from that point of view. We are already what we seek. A Mentor really helps you to unlearn the the stuff that blocks you from recognizing it, our conditioning & programing. There is not really anything to learn, remove the illusion, the error in thinking, & the false picture of self we carry around & we find the real us was already there, complete, intact, & undamaged. It is our disbelief & erroneous thinking that covers it from our vision. Thanks for a excellent Q.

No! The truth of it is, as far as a goal is implied, there is no spiritual growth because you have already arrived. You are eternal. You simply don't experience it, therefore, you suffer in rounds of the karma. You own action is what binds you, life after life, and is the result of an illusion. When the self is not than karma stops. Only then does a merger happen.

Spiritual growth by its very nature is progressive towards self emancipation, spiritual acquaintance, one moving towards their omega of being, wholeness. Just like in physical growth there is always operations or could be even called laws of the body that constitutes this function to become adults. Growth is facilitated by an individuals expansion.

No one can teach this, no one can give you "knowing," or you don't "know." All growth must be accomplished within yourself, while people can help you in this goal it all depends on how YOU turn these things within yourself, how you make use of them. Spiritual growth comes through drawing upon your inner resources, being draw into this light and utilizing this light and vital energy in your endeavor for expansion of mind towards soul birth.

Hello Soul Shine,

Spiritual Growth cannot be conveyed by another person. One can only remind another. If a person does not have it within, it cannot be taught from without. If there is no connection, what is there to connect to? If there is no container, it spills out everywhere. If you give a pig a pearl, he will most likely tear you to shreds.

It can be lived and demonstrated which draws others into the experience. People want to be at peace, want to possess wisdom and insight, want to be better servers and want to move past the glamours and illusions that hinder their growth. When they witness someone in possession of those traits they emulate that person's ways and thereby learn spiritual growth from another.

More importantly, can it be learnt by a person. Others may guide you in many directions, but only you can decide which way you want to go. The journey may be a long and convoluted one, but well worth the trek. Whichever way you choose, and however long it takes, I wish you joy.

Spirituality doesn't nessasarily even mean it has everything to do with god(s) >_>. I think a person can guide you, but not really teach. All religions have them, priests, rabbis, gurus, ect.

It is only through God as we study His word by ourselves, by listening to sermon, and by attending Christian seminars. Lastly, it is a deep reflection of HIs Word that we apply to our lives
