All right, best guesses as to which teams will finish the regular college football season division 1A undefeated. The current crowd includes: LSU, Cal, Arizona St., Ohio State, Boston College, Cinncinati, Conneticut, South Florida, Missouri, Kansas, and Hawaii.
As an aside, we typically have 0-3 teams undefeated at that point.

I think the three best teams of the group are, in order, LSU, Ohio St., and Cal so I'd like to see them win out.
However, the teams I think most likely to win out are, in order: Ohio St., South Florida, Hawaii and Boston College.
Although I wouldn't mind Hawaii and Arizona St 'cause I like their nicknames.

1. LSU- for some reason, I think that they can get by the rest of their SEC schedule. They beat Florida pretty good.
2. BC- pretty easy rest of the season schedule with Clemson posing the only real threat
3. South Florida- solid team that possibly could go to the national championship if they go undefeated. Will have three hard games against Louisville, Rutgers and Cincinnati.
4. Hawaii- extremely easy WAC schedule.
Ohio St. won't go because of Wisconsin, Illinois, and possibly Michigan.
Arizona St. won't go because of Cal, USC or UCLA.
Cincinnati won't go because of USF, WVU and possibly Louisville.
Cal won't go because of USC or Arizona St.
Connecticut won't go because of USF.
Missouri won't go because of Oklahoma.
Kansas won't go because of Nebraska or Mizzou.

I have looked at all the undefeated teams and who they play and also where the opponents are ranked. To me, Ohio State seems destined to have undefeated season. Three games that will be a test; Illinois, Wisconsin, and Michigan. Illinois and Wisconsin are ranked in the top twenty and Michigan it seems is beginning to shrug off the loss to Appalachian State (Div. 1AA). Looking at the other undefeated schools schedules, LSU has the toughest of all schedules left and it is no guarantee that this team will survive without getting a loss. California still has Arizona State (another undefeated school) and USC that is seething right now from their upset loss to Stanford. This team might not make it unscathed. The only other team remaining undefeated to me is Hawaii. Even without their injured star QB, Colt Brennan, his back was still able to secure a decisive win against the hapless Aggies of Utah State. Two teams they should worry about is Fresno State and their running attack and Boise State, last years WAC Champion and only undefeated team in Div. 1A. Though, I believe that in order for Hawaii to enter a BCS bowl game, they would have to go undefeated. I feel that is unfortunate since this team has shown that it can play with the big boys in the past.

I would say cal since i am their fan but they have a hard conference in the pac 10. LSU for sure will lose to one of the SEC teams. Ohio State depends on whether they beat michigan or not. Boston college is my pick for being the undefeated team for the season why?
1. Yes they have the almight Hokies of virginia tech which is supposed to have the best secondary in the nation, that secondary looked poor in the game against LSU and in my opinion, LSU and Boston college have evenly matched offenses.
2. Easy conference, clemson might come out and shock boston college but i think they will be ready for the tigers (clemson) and they will beat them.
3. Great Leader at the QB position, great quarterback in Matt Ryan who can put up big numbers and make it so his team wins. Boston College has a QB just as good as Colt Brennan, maybe not better but just as good
4. Their schedule has no team on it which can shut down their offense, if Virginia Tech gave up so many points against LSU and i expect boston college to expose that hokies defense
5. Great run defense, one that shut down future nfl player Tashard Choice, their defense is impressive when it comes to stopping the run.

Out of the remaining un-beatens lsu has a shot but since they play in the SEC I doubt it, BC is for real and could do it, South Florida and Hawaii both have the remaining schedules to both pull it off.
