I just want to know from the rest if idid the right thing when i got mine.

I took out enough to eat and pay bus fare for 2 weeks, until the next check. The rest went into the bank, to save up for my first car. Four months later, I bought that first car, a used Mustang. It was wonderful!!

was singing for youth groups at the time !!
First pay was an outrageous $ 29 (at the time this was more like $ 150 now !!)
My folks put it in a savings account -- by the time I was 16 -- I had earned my own college tuition -- but, didn't need it -- I had a scholarship that paid for THAT !! So, years later -- this money helped me start my first business --- I have since built Five from scratch !!

Well I was 16 and I worked in the mall so I went down the walkway to the Italian designer store and bought a $100 pair of Sergio Valente jeans (which were in style at my school and I looked GREAT in!!lol)...hey, you only get to feel like to can splurge once (before the debt comes in) so live alittle!!!

i saved some, and spent some. i was a lot better at saving back then when i was making about $150 every two weeks.

that was 53 years ago and i had a great boss and he made me open a savings account which i still have to this day!!!

I was 17 and blew all of it on something useless. Not hard to beat.
