I do not. I think it's important for natural development for children to be exposed to other children.

Well , for some your right, but there are those who have very large family's , and a child isn't always alone while being home schooled. Some of them do very well . Because they have contact with people outside of school. It really depends on the person that is schooling them and how good they are at teaching. And you are right they need to be with other people and learn to live outside the home. or they can be very smart people who haven't a clue in how to talk or work with other people.

I agree with you USAman. There were people in my parents neighborhood whose mother was homeschooling their kids and from what I would see, the kids never got any exposure. I remember seeing the oldest. He was 17 at the time, and he could not drive, he didn't have a job. I never saw people come and visit them and I really never saw them go anywhere either. It was like they were sheltered. I actually felt bad for them, cause I was thinking they'll be totally lost when it came to the real world.

I think it depends on the child and his or her parents. Home schooling is a major commitment for all involved and it's also a lifestyle as well as a way of teaching and learning.
