My opinion is a real man is a husband . Husband takes care of his wife and raises his children and takes on any responsibility and tackles any problem. A woman looks up to her husband and is proud of him no matter of his occupation or how much money he brings home.There is an inside strength in being a husband.
A man that doesn't want to be a husband is afraid of responsibility , he is afraid of the day to day challenges of being a husband. There is a fear inside of him because he is afraid of the desires outside of his marriage he won't be a part of anymore.
But this type of man will destroy a real man's marriage by a relationship with his wife. He can't be a husband to her in fear of the responsibilities to take care of her. After all the sex and flames burn out , she wants a husband in the end .

The same thing that I think of a woman who doesn't want to become a wife or a mother. To each their own. People that don't want these things should not give into societal pressure, it will not only make them miserable, but also their spouses and children.
Some people just aren't meant for a spouse or children, there is nothing wrong with that...if everyone was married with children imagine the population issues we'd have.

if a husband and father are what you want, and the man or your man isn't interested in either, then you should move on. why continue to waste your time with hopes that he'll change his mind? if you do, you'd be settling for something you don't want and you'll be unhappy because you didn't do the better thing for yourself.
he has a right not to want marriage or children, just as you have a right to want both. you just won't get either with this man.

He probably is very into himself or what his life entails....
Depending on his reasons why, he either is a very good judge of his own character and limitations or he is selfish...but there's really no way of being able to tell without knowing WHY he doesn't want this in his life.

To me it sounds like he's like to spend his life with HIM as # 1 in it. That's ok for some people, but if both people aren't on the same page it's just not going to work.

He is a wise man. Just because he doesn't want a wife and kids doesn't make him selfish , it is his own prerogative so you are shallow if you are judge mental

Who wants that? I guess if all I wanted was one thing out of him, then sure, that would work for a while. But it would get old.

Selfish, self centered, and he may be male but i wouldnt call him much of a man.
