So that's how it is pronounced? On a radio show, they say you're suppose to pronounce it like "jew-wel-ree." I can't though. =(

jool-ree is the proper redneck pronunciation we use down here.

That's why there's ice and bling now. the international rapper writes, 'I gots me lots of jewl... how do you say... that sounds gay... i gots me lots of ice and bling, yeah you know I got things."

'Jewelry' is pronounced 'jewl-ry' or can be said as 'jewel-ry,' though sometimes it get change because of accents.

My favourite is 'tartan' which I've heared said (and seen spelt in various ways) as tartin, tartoon, tartun, tarton, tartune, tart-tan, etc.

Jewel-ry. Sort of like realtor. Most people mistakenly pronounce it reel-a-tor, but it's pronounced as it is written, real-tor.

You are correct! One of my biggest pet peeves is when people say "jewel-ler-ry!" AAAAAUUUUGGHHH!! A person who sells JEWEL-ry is a JEWEL-er; but he sells JEWEL-ry and not jewel-ler-ry! Again, AAAAUUUUGGHHH!!

That's like when Dubya says "nu-cu-lar" and other people say "real-la-tor." Cringe! Cringe!
