My pocket pc doesn't seem to synchronize with my pc.?

I tried reset and still nothing happens i have a windows xp and i downloaded the latest version of ActiveSync...when i connected to my phone nothing happens i press the icon and go to options so it can look for my device..... but it says t cant detect it....
Help please

Is there a possibility that your cable could be bad? Try a different sync cable and see if that works.
