What do you think of the film Donnie Darko?

Question

this film fascinates me. it would be nice to know what others think and also if any of you understand or have used this site - www.donniedarkofilm.com - please try it and lemme know if you can figure it out?
im amazed by donnie darko but the only scary thing is, in the same way donnie seems to be detached from the world and empty sometimes, i am too, which is why i relate so well to it because i often look at the sky and wonder is any of it even real?

One of my favorite films precisely because it so eloquently taps into the feelings that you speak of. Plus, from a purely film making point of view, wonderful cinematography & sound.

Thanks for bringing the site to my attention, I am just beginning to explore it. It's an interesting gimmick.....and now i want to watch the movie again.

i might have suggested 10... yet then I observed the director's decrease, which thoroughly ruined the action picture for me. heavily, why create a action picture that gets easily everyone conversing approximately what it truly is approximately, then launch a version explaining each thing, subsequently ruining the secret? stupid. So i might say 6. you may look at David Lynch's Mulholland rigidity. That action picture is much extra complicated than DD and thankfully the solutions to the mysteries are actually not spoonfed to the objective industry on the top

donnie darko sacrificed his life for others... he was empty and in the end the rabbit tried to foretell whatcould happen and he had to walk through the scenarios and chose his death so others could live ( so to speak)
it is a great movie i have seen it like 4 times
