I have never had the chance to but my mom rescued a cat that wad wounded on the side of the road. She had HUGE open wounds and a broken leg. If my mom hadnt picked her up and took her to the vet she would have not lived. She has been a wonderful cat. Her name is Millie. We call her our Million dollar kitty because her vet bills were beyond expensive but she is worth it.

Yes. Birds, on different occasions. And I saved a ground squirrel from my cat once. He was injured so I made him a home in a birdcage. I put a cup from a Yahtzee game in there sideways for him to sleep in, but instead, he used it as a bathroom. He would back that little hinie into that cup and poop. It was his food bowl he wanted to live in. He'd turn it upside down, shove wood chips underneath, burrow through the woodchips, curl up and sleep under the upside-down bowl. I put him a hamster wheel in the cage and he ran and ran in that wheel all night long every night. I never released him because of my cat, and he died after I'd had him about a year. Our family mourned for a week, we all loved the little fella so much.

I was the little girl always bringing injured birds home. Actually, I'm still like that. I've saved a possum from being eaten by my dogs too. The rehabilitation I usually leave up to our local wildlife rescue group.

Yes. An injured cardinal was in my yard a few years ago. It would have died, but I saved it. This, of course, involved using an expert on birds, who was kind enough to care for the bird and fix its badly injured wing.
When it was well again, I set it free right where it came from.

yes squirrels and opossums . My son made me stop the car one day cause he saw a dead moma opposum and he saw something moving in her belly . he took them out and we raised them on bottles and we released them when it came time . My son saw this on the late Steve Irwins show and it was sort of like pay back or pay it forward . he taught us alot and he will never be forgotten not in my household anyway . cause if my son had not been watching those oppossums would not have made it . good luck .

we had a bird nest in our backyard. one of the birds would not fly away. his parents left. we did everything we could to try and help him. he kept getting out of his nest and roaming around. we have two dogs. we always kept an eye on them. well, one of my dogs got out and wasn't being watched. she found the bird and we took it away from her immediately. i felt so bad. the bird was died. but, we did try our best. now, we won't let any birds build nests in our yard. i hate it when they don't make it. i can't see anymore birds die.
