Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

I've been where you are now. You have to grieve, it's a natural process. Try to remember the happy times. It takes a long time to get over the loss of a beloved dog. Bless you.

I'm Sorry for your loss...I've been there..you're not alone. I have 2 dogs myself currently and have had many over the years and I worry about them everyday.
Take time to grieve and then go find yourself a new friend not to take anothers place, but to make a new friend and new memories.
Cherish the good times you had and cherish the one's to come. It just takes time, but it does get better!

Sorry for your loss. I know what you are going thru. Some people don't understand (some do) that losing a loving pet is like losing a best friend or family member and its just as hard and hurts just the same. Feel better soon! (((((hugsssss)))))

I am sorry for the loss of your best friend.I lost a dog in the same way,and it's NEVER easy!!!People critisized me by saying "It's Just A Dog",but I know a dog is more than a pet,it's a best friend who will never leave you.May God grant you strength in this trying time and I will pray for you.

I am so sorry for your loss. Very hard to loose a family member when it is expected but somehow worse when it happens so fast like that and under such tragic conditions. Know that there are folks here that care for you, and are here for you. You are in our thoughts and prayers, and when you are ready to talk of your loss, we will listen. Hugs till then!

awww... i'm sorry!! :( i know what it's like to lose a pet, i cried so hard and i still miss her... but every time i think of her i smile because she brought so much joy to my life. Just think of all the good times and you'll feel that your dog is still with you in spirit. It's okay to cry, but you'll soon find that remembering your pet will bring a smile to your face too :) *muchos hugs!!*
