35,118 - 34627 = 491 km

491 km divided by 8 hours = 61.375 km per hour

Figure the amount of miles traveled but subtracting the original miles on the odometer from the final reading at the end of the trip. The amount of miles traveled is 491. Then you divide that by the hours that it took to travel that distance, which is 8. 491 divided by 8, = 61.375 (miles per hour.)

ending mileage 35,118
starting mileage 34,627
subtract to get total mileage

35,118 - 34,627 = 491 total miles

divide by 8 hours drive time

491/8=61.375 kpm

I e-mailed kanpree@gmail.com

Here's what he sent back:

35,118km - 34,627km = 491km

Now divide that by 8hr to find average speed.

61.375 km/hr = average speed
