Why is Jackson on the $20?
Washington on the $1
Jefferson on the $2
Lincoln on the $5
Hamilton on the $10
Grant on the $50
Franklin on the $100
No longer in circulation
McKinley on the $500
Cleveland on the $1,000
Madison on the $5,000
Chase on the $10,000
Wilson on the $100,000
Coins
Lincoln on the penny
Jefferson on the nickel
Roosevelt (FDR) on the dime
Washington on the quarter
Kennedy on the half dollar
Eisenhower on the dollar
As you can see, most of the figures on our money deserve it.
But Jackson on our most widely used paper money?
Why?
Most of the other figures I know something about. Yet Jackson to me is nothing more then a footnote.
I brought some paper money into my English class here in China, and I could talk about Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln and Hamilton, but I was stumped when it came to Jackson. I think most people would be in the USA.
Where should Bush II be? When I was in the Philippines a few years ago, their coin that had the least value was made out of plastic. People would even throw them away. I think Bush II deserves such a fate.
Bush I may end up on the $20 and be nothing more then a footnote other then being the father of the worst president in history.
Peace
Jim

You mean the FIRST Bush, not the second one?
Clearly George H.W. Bush was worse than Andrew Jackson.

That's a tough one. Bush refused to focus on bringing to justice the main man responsible for the deaths of 3,000 people on American soil and instead focused on invading a country that posed no threat to us. Andrew Jackson ignored a Supreme Court ruling and as a result, thousands of Native Americans were evicted from their rightful lands and forced to trek hundreds of miles to what was then considered to be a no man's land. Many died from disease and exposure, and it is for this reason that it is called the Trail of Tears.

Both ignored the will of the people, but jackson ignored the supreme court, so he was worst in my opinion.
