Definitely false. The key word here is MOST. Most of the energy is reflected and is not involved in photosynthesis. Although 2/3 of the planet's surface is water and there are organisms in the oceans, lakes and rivers that use the sun's energy for photosynthesis, most of the sun's energy is not used for this. The sun provides 3850 zettajoules of energy per year to the earth. The total biomass on earth uses approxiamtely 1.8 zettajoules per year. The oceans absorb 285 zettajoules /year. In watts, the earth received 174 petawatts of radiation, that's 174 x 10^15 watts!!

False my friend, most is wasted, or goes into heating water . Chlorophyll in plants is not 100% effective, most of the light misses the chlorophyll, the whole earth is not covered in chlorophyll. So most is wasted as chlorophyll is the only substance to my knowledge that can harness light energy, and use it to power a living system. I think :P i may be wrong

Some regions of Earth get more solar energy, then it gets distributed by way of temperatures, winds, rain, etc. Through photosynthesis, the plants generate carbohydrates and oxygen, plants generate food for animals and humans in the form of vegetation, grains, vegetables, fruits etc. This is indirect way of powering living systems on this planet Earth.

Plants use sunlight directly. Animals eat the plants (and therefore use sunlight one step removed). The weather is driven by the sun's energy, which then provides rain etc. needed by life.

I would think true, chlorophyll in plants and trees, which feed animals which in turn feed us. It helps in the decomposition process, and processing vitamin d in people. I would think that most of the suns energy that hits here does go toward working with some form of living system.
