My mom's taken my computer.
She says I have to 'Find it'
I've looked in every room in my house.
My Parent's room
The Living Room
The Dinning Room
The 'Office'
Kitchen
And in EVERY CLOSET!

Where would someone hide a laptop?
For example:
In a cabnet?
Or what Room?
[the rooms are posted above]

I'm very lost.
And I've run out of places to look.

Don't say 'I don't know' etc.

You've got to search every tiny bit of space in your house. Go through every room in your house and look in any place a laptop could possibly fit and hide.

Like, behind desks, underneath blankets, behind books, in dressers and drawers, on top of tall objects (like your fridge, or a tall bookcase), maybe you can look in the garage, or the attic, or in her car. Maybe she hid it somewhere in your own room.

That laptop could be anywhere. You can't just skim the rooms, you've got to really search them. Ask your mom for a hint :P

convinced. As a minor, you do not actual own any of your funds or gadgets. Being 14 skill you at the prompt are not an individual and do not inevitably have the potential to judge what's okay and by no skill ok on a computing gadget. there are a kind of police brochures and larger obtainable caution mom and father about holding tabs on their youngster's information superhighway events--convinced, even consisting of their 14yo's. There are 14yo's stepping into some exceptionally undesirable stuff on-line because they don't understand any more desirable and their mom and father are not truly checking in on them to substantiate each and every thing's ok. it could be confusing to do, yet be grateful that your mom and father care sufficient about you that they do verify. One female, 13 or 14, the position I stay ended up sharing bare images of herself with someone claiming to be a same-elderly female: became out it changed into some 30 or 40-yo pervert. This went on for months. He changed into even attempting to get them to satisfy. not particular how the mum and father realized, yet this stuff do take position and being concerned mom and father will step in and visual show unit. in spite of everything, in the journey that your mom has taken away the computer already, ask her in case you may have it back in case you write up a freelance at the same time about monitoring, what's permitted and what's not, and so on. educate that you will be mature about it and also you're waiting to satisfy her criteria. a operating laptop or computer is a privilege, not a top. you're nevertheless a minor on your mom and father' domicile and they have the wonderful note.

I have a 16 yr old daughter and if I was going to take her laptop away I would put it in the trunk of my car as long as it wasn't hot weather.

Otherwise I would put it under her own mattress or some place in her plain sight. That way she would be extra irritated when she couldn't find it and then blow a gasket when I retreived it right in front of her.

I took her cell phone away for a week last July and kept it in her underwear drawer.

She was very angry with me, the next time I put it in a ziplock bag and kept it in the trash under the actual trash bag.

My husband thinks that I am a genius and she thinks I am an evil (female dog).

Agh! My mothers given up with that, I'm so good at finding whatever she takes. But now, unfortunatly, shes switched to taking things I can't find-like the privledge of watching new CSI episodes. x.x

Don't assume your parent is staying in your house. My mother requested that my neighbor hide it, as well as my grandmother.

Do you have an attic, or a basement? The attic is my mom's favorite, because I'm fairly frightened of it. Also, have you looked in the cabinets/drawers and such in each room? Or have you just done a quick look-round?

Maybe she hid it in YOUR room - have you looked there? Don't forget, a laptop is small and can been hidden in a stack of magazines or newspapers, in the bathroom in a stack of towels. Do you have an attic, or a basement - maybe a crawl space under your house? It sounds like your Mom is really making you "think" about your behavior, and what it can cost you - Kudos to your mother! I hope I've given you some places to look. Happy Hunting!

You know if you go snooping around and you actually find it and get caught with it, then you take the risk of them taking it away and getting rid of it all together. And more importantly, you will lose their trust and that is something very important to have.

Try searching in plain sight. My Mom hid all of my game systems in her dresser drawers, so try to look there.
