...to my new PC?!? Can I do it myself or should I get a pro to do it(like my local CompUSA which wants to charge me $100 to do it!!!) If I can I do it myself it,I will but...I don't know about opening the tower and which one it would be!! If I could I find an easy way to just back up all my data(music, movies, pictures, various installers for programs I use-like Firefox,uTorrent and a few others I won't mention!) I'd do it. i guess I'm just a little bit lazy and slightly resistant to change plus I'm not really knowledgeable about, literally, the inner workings of a computer. I'm worried about not being able to personalize my new PC as well as I've done with my old PC. Plus I don't want to lose all the music, pictures, etc. and I think it would take WAY,WAY too many CDs/DVDs to back up 90GBs of data. So,how do I get all my personal stuff(not just pics/music)but also all my bookmarks, user settings etc. to work on my new PC?PLEASE try to speak English,NOT computerese. Think Computers For Dummies!

If it is a true standalone drive and not a partition on the single drive with C. If it is an add in, it will be the one at the end of the cable if properly installed. The main drive is supposed to be connected to the middle of the cable. There are some good inexpensive books with illustrations available. Go In and look at them and find one you like and can understand the term used. For backup, you can do a copy of the folders/files to a CD and then copy htem back in to the new system.

Yes you can buy an external usb inclosure and put the disk into it. Then you can access it on a pc through the usb port. You could also just remove the drive from your old pc and install it as a secondary in the new one.

It's simple to find out which one of your drives and turn on your PC. If windows turns on then you have your D drive. If not then reconect the drive and disconect the other. That one is the D drive, better known as your computers slave drive.
