Engineering, building houses, rocketry, manufacturing of any and all sorts--from cars to anything you can name, the common screw is the supplement and compliment of obtuse angles... the list is endless. If anyone started to write now, they'd be 80 and still not finished. Stay in school...

in middle ages it was used to make a blade capable of slitting the throat of an enemy through chain mail, the obtuse angle was large enough to sever most of the throat while narrow enough to break the ring mail with one swift push,
it is also used in a less gruesome way to create the points for drill points :P

In architecture use it to determine a right angle (30-60-90 triangle) for a truss, for modeling, to measure the max height of a projectile, for accuracy when shooting projectiles like mortars (army), etc.
