The British isles as a whole including the whole of Ireland. within that each separate part has it's own delightful twist. on a common theme not really understood in say the States, and certainly apt to be misunderstood by the French on principle

its easy to say your own country has the best humour, afterall it is easier to understand your 'owns' humour....doesnt mean the rest of the world gets it. obviously thats down to different languages and cultures. personally i enjoy english humour, (i'm irish) our society is pretty similar so its understandable that i'd like it, i love such programmes as little britain& bo selecta, but then i just totally dont get the humour in the office. us irish have a great sense of humour, we usually dont take ourselves too seriously - perhaps a lot of time not seriously enough. we like having the 'craic' as we call it. Our best comedy ever has to be Father Ted...go wan go wan go wan go wan!!The americans as a whole do not have the same humour as the irish and the english, in my opinion, but thats not to say that they dont have a sense of humour. if i were to pick somewhere i think has the best humour i would have to say Ireland, but if it were down to say best comedy progs it would be england

Hard to say. I mean, there could be some absolutely hillarious Chinese humour that I would be completely unable to understand or appreciate....

some human beings have distinctive experience of humors, so they immediately assume the Germans are humorless. I agree, that that's unfaithful. i will giggle at specific German jokes, or something else. It relies upon on human beings themselves. So i detect Germans do have humorousness.
