i love them equally!but if my significant other would ever say "it's me or the pets"i would most definitely choose my pets!why?cause they give unconditional love and they would protect me and give their life for me!
the only thing that i can give them is love,and i damn well mean to do that!

I don't know that I'd say I love my pets MORE than my significant other but if my significant other ever said it was him or my pets, well, I'd still have my pets ;-)

I guess its because pets tend to be seen as babies because they'll depend on you for almost everything, which kind of starts up the motherly ness inside, and the more you take care of your pet, the more you become attatched. Funny question, at one point my boyfriend wondered if I loved his puppy more than him. (and to be honest, his puppy was just too cute and I don't know. It just makes me wanna hug the puppy for ever and ever, and i could never be mad at it for a long time and such and such, no matter the mess it made and everything. If my boyfriend had done anything close to that, I'd of probably ripped a new... butthole for him. haha.)

Well... (I'm "signifgant-other-less") but.. I can tell why that is...
I've never had a pet stab me in the back, deliberately hurt my feelings, talk about me behind my back, try to steal "my" guy, or borrow my clothes without asking.. (oh. wait. that was my roommate- scratch those two.)

I love them equally, couldn't choose one over the other honestly. My dog is like my child and as a "child", I should love my dog more than my boyfriend....I am not a very good person....

Me and my husband both love our 3 dogs!!! I love my husband most of the time~~~ But as for our dogs, all the time!
