No, I don't think he does. He has done a lot in the area of education of environmental issues, but most of what he talks about has come from advisors, not research and work of his own. It should go to someone who has truly dedicated themselves and their own time, not someone who is the "frontman" for other people.

Yes. He's always believed in protecting the Environment; & while other famous people spend their time raising money for THEMSELVES, or to promote THEIR "pet causes", Al's been traveling the Globe trying to raise Awareness about a Threat that could affect us ALL, Golbal Warming. And the Great thing IS, people of all races, cultures, nationalities, and religions all over the World- have begun to listen! FEW other Public Personalities (let ALONE a private citizen- as Gore is now) ever get this kind of Attention. And now that He's got it, - he DESERVES the Credit- & will use it to help us all. :)

If he had done something to help fix the problem, instead of just whining and making a lot of noise while in his SUV,then he might have been more deserving of it perhaps. Even Yasser Arafat once won a Nobel peace prize as well!

Al Gore deserved it for bringing global warming to the attention of the average U.S. citizen and to the World. In the big picture global warming is much more important than any other global issue that we have today.

No, he's an idiot, a liar and a fraud. By the way, the hottest year in the US since they began keeping systematic records in the 1880's was 1934, NOT 1998, as this liar says. .

and 3 of the 5 hottest years were in the 1930's. . so why haven't (with all our driving, flying, boating, busing, trucking, etc, and using all kinds more electricity than was used back then) we been able to raise the temperature any higher than it was 73 years ago?. . If it's our driving that is "heating it all up" as this liar says, then WHY isn't any RECENT year the hottest? the warmest??. . ESPECIALLY since so many more Americans (and people around the world) have cars now than back in 1934!!!. . we have millions more cars, trucks, boats, planes, tractors, etc. . and many millions more people using electricity, so why is the temperature lower now than back in 1934, when there were only thousands of cars in this country, instead of millions??. . I think SOMEONE's lying! (umm. . hint: same guy who claimed he invented the internet). .

the same guy that hypocritically tells US to cut our energy use, and then uses 22 times as much electricity at his Tennessee mansion as the average household uses. . the guy who tells US to cut our gas usage and then belches HUNDREDS of tons of carbon out into the atmosphere as he flies around to see (and lie to) his adoring fans, who think he's some kind of prophet, and [they] seem to forget he's the biggest liar of the past 25 years.

Decode this lyrics " Flashdance"
Why not?
Congratulation to the " Old man"
Well done!
Hitting the home-run.
For the folks back home and for the good of mankind.
Nothing else matter anymore.
Luke 10.20
Kiss everyone good bye.
That was a life time achievement.
You did well.
What do you think?

Sure...he's brought the Global Warming issue to the forefront when many others have failed to make the world realize the danger and importance of this problem.
