SWEETIE YOU HAVE NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT.
GETTING A PAP DONE IS SOMETHING THAT MOST WOMEN DREAD BUT ITS SOMETHING THAT NEEDS TO BE DONE.
THE ANTICIPATION IS WHAT SEEMS TO BE FOREVER THAN THE ACTUAL PAP ITSELF. THE EXAM ITSELF TAKES SOMETHING LIKE 5 MIN. AND MOST OF THE TIME ITS THE DR TELLING YOU TO RELAX. SHE INSERTS THE SPECULUM, (DUCKS BILL) SWABS YOU TAKES IT OUT, AND YOUR DONE. THERE ISN'T MUCH TO IT.
BUT ITS SOMETHING THAT NEEDS TO HAVE HAPPEN EVERY YEAR SO THAT YOU CAN CHECK FOR ANY KIND OF CANCER, STD, OR JUST TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS OK SO WHEN YOU DO CHOOSE TO HAVE KIDS YOU WON'T GET A SURPRISE.

Don't be worried, the don't hurt. I have heard that they only hurt if you are a virgin and obviously if you are married that is not the case. It will all be alright. It is going to be more embarrasing for you then the doctor. Remember they do this all the time and it is part of their job. Try taking deep breaths and relax as much as possible. It sounds hard but just remember that they are going to be doing alot more poking around when you are pregnant than this. This is nothing so I am told compared to giving birth.

it truly is likely wonderful to take heed to what the well being care specialist informed you, you are able to truly commence any day, often times human beings commence in the course of the week of their era because then you actually get more desirable instantaneous safe practices (interior per week oftentimes) and your sessions will be more desirable time-honored contained in the first few months yet you are able to take them any day (sunday is oftentimes wonderful so that you've finished 'weeks' of birth control pills starting up on sunday) purely be particular you employ backup birth control for the first month or so

the first time will be uncomfortable, but it should not be painful (and it will not hurt like hell - whoever told you that is misinformed or has a ridiculously low tolerance for pain). if it hurts, say something to the doctor about it so he/she can adjust. it is important that you get these done every year (at least), so do not tell your doctor to skip it and just give you the prescription. that's being reckless with your health.

The first pap smear usually only hurts if you are a virgin and your hymen gets broken. It doesn't hurt for everyone, but it hurt me.
This is most likely not the case, as you have been married for 2 months. It is fine, really. Just try to relax (easier said than done, I know). It really does help. Make sure you have an empty bladder, too.
You will be fine.

papsmears don't hurt, they just are a tad uncomfortable.
What you should do at the same time is ask about the cervical cancer vaccine. From what I understand, it takes just three trips to the doctor and from then on, you don't need to take a papsmear ever again, nor worry about nearly all forms of cervical cancer.
Bonus!

Please don't worry.
Pap smears don't hurt and it is done in two seconds.
I have been getting them every year for 26 years now and none of them have ever hurt.
Pap smears do NOT hurt for virgins. My first 23 years going to the Gyn I was a virgin. That poster who said it does is incorrect.

I had to make my doctor stop because it hurt. So, I think you can talk and ask them not to do it...I got the prescription without it.
Good luck!
