Congress will not even attempt to "defund" the War in Iraq because of the political fallout. Was yesterdays vote on the Armenian Genocide question really an attempt to pis**ff the Turks enough that they would not allow us to use their supply routes and air routes into Iraq to supply our troops, therefore, in essence, forcing our government to pullout of Iraq?

If it was, I think Congress is a bunch of cowardly, sleezeballs!!!

You are exactly correct.

They did the same thing in Viet Nam. The US military won that war three times and were gone in 1973.
The Democrats, the ones who started and escalated the war, managed to lose it two years later in 1975 by cutting off all funding to South Vietnam and made us an international laughing stock.
We had to wait for Reagan to get our dignity back.
The Democrats are about to do it again.
Dopes.

Guess what?
Congress is a bunch of cowardly sleazeballs.
That's why they have the lowest approval rating of any congress in history. It's FAR lower than the President's.
Nancy Pelosi was right... "there's a new Congress in town"

This CONgress truly IS the opposite of PROgress.

Oh, and Iceman... nice, clueless response.
Really shows the Liberal mindset.
Totally out of touch with reality.

Your last comment pretty much sums it up.
A sinister way to once again prove just how much they really "support the troops."
You get it - why do so many other people continue to support these air heads? And it's so transparent - the Armenians have been partitioning for this for decades - why the resolution NOW?
The answer is self evident.

The Turks are not going to do anything to the U.S. over this

But they sure are mad at the Armenians.

f.y.i - that vote was over ten years in the making.
