No. We are already in hock to China, and cannot manufacture anything but the most expensive of goods (weapons, airplanes, cars, homes, missiles.)
The EU is now the largest spending buck in the world, and the richest man is Carlos Sim (the Mexican telecom guy).
The rest of the world is still very hesitant to buy into our securities, thus exacerbating the US credit crunch problem we are having. Our economy is based on re-invested capital and debt. Without fresh infusions of capital from outside sources, our economy and our entire way of life cannot be sustained, and that investment is becoming too risky for other countries to continue buying in. That is why the FED had to loan US business a few billion last month... to keep US financial firms running!
Worst case scenario would be economic ruin for America, shored up by foreign interest who will, just like American lobbies, begin to exert control over our policies.
For example, the Turkish genocide ruling... Turkey says that if we term the event a genocide, they will make trouble for us, so we didn't! This was... what?... two days ago?
The Saudis own shipping ports in the US, the sale taking place just after 9/11. Wild stuff. Now I'm not saying there is any crazy conspiracy stuff, just that actual events are just as unbelievable as a crazy twisted conspiracy would be.
Even though we are putting new ICBMs at Russia's front door, we may have heap plenty financial trouble. And of course, the most highly trained, highly sophisticated military in the world has enough trouble managing a bunch of desert raiders with pipe bombs.
Also... nuclear weapons do not allow you to 'take over' a country, only destroy it and make it uninhabitable, and, lest we forget the Cuban Missile Crisis, there is no way to utilize nuclear arms without setting off a big bad shebang that nobody actually wins.

We already have. It's not military domination, but it's cultural domination.
How many people around the world know who Britney Spears is? Or Michael Jordan? Or Mickey Mouse?
When the Berlin Wall fell in 1989, the East Germans were trying to get into the mega-mall that the West Germans built right across the street from the Wall.

I hope they never do that. Cause I think that is plain out wrong. Taking over the world is not what was in mind of those that created the world in the first place. The world as a whole is a beautiful and wonderful thing. Destroying it and taking over would mean being Dicators of others and human beings. I do not consider that to be worth while living.

America's nuclear capability is much less now than it was in the 60's.
That little SALT treaty kind of put a damper on it.
So don't you think the US would have taken over the world when it had more nukes?
Why would the US suddenly take over the world with less?

Asteroid : i'm not apprehensive approximately that in the time of any respect. i don't think there'll be a third international conflict, a minimum of not between worldwide places. i think it's going to be between God & devil, yet previously that i think a number of what you assert will take place : bio & chemical conflict, human beings demise from grimy bombs, etc. go searching you, that's already happening in different areas of the international. It basically does not look genuine to you yet as a results of fact it hasn't got here approximately interior the U.S. as undesirable as in different worldwide places. guy is boastful sufficient to think of they could actually "WIN" a conflict, yet they don't stop to think of that easily everyone loses in wars!

If we wanted to take over the world, we could've & would've already taken that course. I have seen no evidence that the USA wants to take over anything or else Mexico and Canada would be states.

taking over the world is a lot more than defeating armed forces. you need to occupy those countires too. you'd need to conscript anyone with legs to achieve that.
but i very much doubt america would even try it. why would they?
