Stealing nurses from poor countries is not the answer, because it only leads to more misery over there , and to even more presure for immigration to Britain. We should pay our own health staff decent wages, not loot the Third World.

I agree that BNP supporters like you Roy West should stop spamming YA with the same old tired 'questions' using half a dozen different accounts.

Yes I agree Britian should stop stealing nurses from the poorer countries. First they are not trained as good as British nurses. Second if you are living in a country where the hygene standard is low, you cannot expect that just because you come to another you are going to have the same high standard as that country. In order to keep the nurses in Britain wages need to improve a lot.

I totally agree with your statement., The trouble with UK is that they always want things on the cheap.

Instead of employing more Police Officers they are employing these "Wannabees" who are almost useless.

I honestly believe that we shouldn't pennypich when it comes to things that people require, although I agree a framework should be set up to avoid waste.

I am referring to Post Offices and Royal Mail, Railways, Police Offices, Prisons and Prison Officers and of course the National Health and the people who work within it.

I am sure that if I was to sit and think there would be many more.

Too much of the nations wealth is spent on handing out benefits. This money should be used for nurses and other things I have mentioned.

I do not think we should be taking trained nurses away from other countries,

I am not a Communist, in fact my leanings are to the right.

I agree. - but I thought this Government had taken steps to stop it happening anymore after the story about Mali - Mali trains 6 nurses a year and one year 9 joined the NHS. All because it brings down the tax bill.

Are you telling me it is still happening?

Bring back Matron
Train home-grown nurses
Pay them more
Thin out beaurocracy within the Health Service
Foreign staff should remain in their country of origin.
This improves the health of their compatriots

It also lowers the overall tax bill for UK plc.

I agree.

But how many of you are willing to pay the extra taxes to pay for training the nurses as well as paying them the extra money?

I am.

Most people are not though.
