yeah i agree -what a good idea - does the same principle apply to the toilet capet as well -

This is why I have removed all carpeting from my home. I hate carpets, hate to vacuum too.
A few Easters ago,my son spilled egg dye all over the carpet. It was the beginning of ripping it all out!

It would definitely be a lot less work and if you do it right you could make it look like an actual pattern that looks like it was the pattern when you got it!!

that's why i have a dark green carpet, no one knows where the stains are. it's called camouflage.
