x-y+z = 0
2x+y+3z=0

3x + 4z = 0
3x = - 4z

Ratio of x to z is 3:-4

x-y+z = 0
2x+y+3z=0
Add the above two linear equations getting:
3x +4z = 0
3x = -4z
x/z = -4/3

given: x-y+z=0 and 2x+y+3z+0 find ratio of x to z:

solving for y: y-x-z=0 or y=x+z

substituting for y in the second equation:

2x+(x+z)+3z=0 or 3x+4z=0 and 3x=-4z and finally:

the ratio of x to z is 3 to 4.

x-y+z = 0
2x+y+3z=0
y =x+z

2x+x+z +3z =0
3x+4z =0
3x =-4z
x/z = -4/3

solve for y in each and set them equal:

y=x+z & y=-2x-3z so x+z=-2x-3z

so 3x=-4z.

to get ratio of x to z is the same as x/z so the equation becomes:

x/z=-(4/3)
