I don't remember the Bennys but I do the cigarettes. Everyone smoked, to lit two cigarettes and pass it to your girl friend. That was sexy and so cool. We didn't care that cigarettes were bad for us. It was cool and we said so, "Well I'm putting another nail in my coffin." and lit up another cig. To be that cool again and that immortal. Nothing could hurt us. If you tried to do what the ten of us did!! The first thing the cars can not withstand the punishment and the other the kids' parents will not let them do it.

No, I never had a coat that I named Benny. I had one named Car. But I do remember when smoking was cool and sexy with the smoke billowing out of your nose and mouth, and softening the person in a cloud of heaven.

Grand pa, I do not remember the "Benny's" as I live in a very warm climate! Overcoats are only used here, to go over a suit, if it is raining.

I certainly remember the latter! Every movie star you saw had a cigarette in thier hand! "I love Lucy," DEAN MARTIN, lol and so much more. In fact, it was a glamorous thing in the older films, for a woman to be smoking! My, how things change!

Oh, no. Somebody forgot to tell me that smoking isn't cool anymore.

Does it make you laugh now to see those old movies when the "lovers" are standing next to each other and both are smoking?

I never knew the word Bennys but I like it better than overcoat.

Love ya grampa.
