What the heck do they carry that is sooooo important? And if ithese things are so important, why dont men usually carry handbags?

I don't know about others but I think that it goes back to the begining of the hunter/gatherer time. men were the hunters. they needed to only carry the spear and bow and arrows. so now the wallet is all they carry. to be ready to defend. women gathered. we picked up stuff to eat for the family, we carried around a basket or something to put the food in. so now we carry a purse to put all our important stuff in. in my purse I have medicine for headaches becuse I get migraines a lot, stuff for diarhea, now that is important, check book, wallet, comb, lotion, don't want to look or feel like a snake sheading. these are things that can't wait until I get home things.

Women's clothing for the most part doesn't have pockets, and when they squeeze their *** into tight pants, they don't want lumps from stuff in pockets. Plus with all the stuff they carry around it's easier to have a bag. It's not unheard of for men to have bags. They're just called messenger bags. For flasks, cameras, cell phones, MP3 player and so on. Maybe a small bottle of cologne for the road.

Woman traditionally carry lipstick and powder and other such stuff which they put on their faces in the loo when out and bring home after their night out. Men don't. Men normally only carry a wallet with money in it which they spend in pub and come home with an empty wallet.

I wore a belt bag for years, I had so much stuff to do before and after work that I had to keep my checkbook and address book on hand. I also kept a swiss armyknife, nail clippers and tweezers in it as i would get metal slivers on my job. I'm retired now, but my bag is still on top of the fridge.

Do you carry lipstick in your pocket? Or maybe because we carry facial tissues and face powder. Colognes too. We even have a pen, small notebook there and an address book there. Cellphone and keys. Of course, credit cards and money too! ^_^"

i carry a handbag because I need to constantly carry an inhaler and painkillers. Also, i don't really want to carry around tampons in my pocket. we need to be properly prepared for female emergencies.

I advocate compulsory man bags, I am sick of my husband saying "can you just put this in your handbag" , for everything he wants to carry around with him ...... not that much in mine other than a purse, credit cards and a lipstick and husbands useless items....

Men that use make-up, use face cream, have periods, etc etc etc also carry handbags darling.

because even if men had handbags you can guarantee they would still forget everything
its easier for women to be trusted with keys, money etc
