A few weeks ago in Galveston I saw a little girl lifeguard, about 17 years old, rescue a man who had swum out too far into the Gulf. So brave. She's my hero.

Once before, I answered a question about heros and said there weren't any. Somebody else answered that same question saying to give him and others a chance to show there are still heros. Since then, he has proven there are some left. My hero is Jack... he is my contact and friend.

My hero is my Mother. She was the perfect Mom while growing up. Then she turned into my best friend. She is now sick and unable to communicate logically with me now, but she's still my hero!

Hannah Szenes. She helped rescue Jews during World War 2 and she was caught and tortured on the border of Hungaria, and then she was executed by a shooting squad. She was brave and so young, only 23 or something...*sniffs*
